At Parallel Domain, we believe that autonomous systems – from self-driving cars to contactless delivery drones – have the opportunity to drastically improve the quality of life for billions of people. That is why we love what we do: enabling our customers to develop their technology safely using the Parallel Domain data generation platform. Our platform revolutionizes the way our customers generate sensor data for AI development. We're looking for people like you to join us in pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence and synthetic data.
NOTE - APPLICANTS MUST BE LOCATED IN MEXICO.
We're searching for a dynamic 3D Artist with expertise in Unreal Engine and the generation of photorealistic CG content. This role is focused on driving business impact and supporting a positive experience for our customers through swift and strategic responses to their needs. By adding and supporting new content to the Data Lab platform, users will be able to simulate more diverse scenarios to better train their machine learning models. If you’re passionate about creating and implementing real-time content covering a wide range of subjects, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Create, set up, and integrate 3D assets that meet Parallel Domain’s design requirements into Unreal Engine.
  • Efficiently interpret and implement notes and feedback from colleagues and supervisors.
  • Assess project scope accurately, providing consistent updates on progress to the team.
  • Collaborate with the CG Content team to manage and prioritize incoming requests from customers and internal partners, supporting critical business objectives.
  • Refine existing content, ensuring assets adhere to evolving standards as our core product advances.
  • Accelerate R&D and exploratory content generation efforts by strategically offering your expertise as a 3D artist to our machine learning and engineering teams.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Professional experience with 3D modeling, texturing/surfacing, and asset integration in Unreal Engine, Maya/3DS Max, Photoshop, Substance Suite, and/or comparable programs.
  • Strong proficiency in English, with the ability to effectively communicate and comprehend both creative and technical subjects (in writing and verbally).
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote and team-oriented environment with daily communication over Slack and Zoom.
  • A portfolio showcasing photorealistic content designed for real-time applications, available for review.

What Will Help You Stand Out:

  • Experience in production pipelines using Perforce, Jira, and other source control/project tracking tools.
  • Generalist art production experience beyond requirements, including 2D content production, reference gathering, and image composition.
Why join Parallel Domain?
We are assembling a team of creative, talented visionaries seeking to build a new technology that will change the world. You will be able to learn, build, and scale our team and technology in a collaborative, creative culture that values every team member.
To attract and inspire the right talent, we offer:
• Competitive compensation (range will be openly discussed early in our interview process)
• Employer-paid supplemental medical, mental health, dental, and vision benefits.
• Flexible paid vacation, sick time, winter shutdown, and 11+ holidays per year
• Paid parental leave
• Equipment budget to optimize your setup
• Annual learning and development stipend
